About treasury-comics

treasury-comics is a comic collection tracker that shows your collection like a portfolio: what it is worth on the market today, how that changed, and which books matter most.

Where prices come from

Prices are asking prices: what sellers are asking on eBay right now for fixed-price listings, without shipping. Books often sell for less, especially raw copies with Best Offer.

We keep only listings that match the exact issue: no lots, reprints, trade paperbacks, or other variants. Graded listings are grouped by grading company and grade. The typical ask is the median of the cheaper half of matching listings, which ignores listings priced far above the rest. With fewer than five listings we show the lowest ask instead and say so. A slabbed copy without listings at its exact grade is estimated from the nearest grade below.

Popular issues are checked daily, everything else in a collection or watchlist weekly. Prices from eBay.

Catalog data

Catalog data comes from Metron, a community comic database, shared under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license. Cover images belong to their publishers and are shown only to identify each issue.

Privacy

Collections are private by default. If you make yours public, purchase prices, notes, and certification numbers are never shown, and you can hide all money amounts. Making it private again removes the public page and its preview image.
