Dr. Magnus decides to rebuild Platinum after her previous sacrifice, leading to unexpected complications when the new version lacks her original personality. The Metal Men travel to the Moon to recover pieces of the original Platinum's destroyed body. During the recovery mission, they inadvertently bring back dangerous extraterrestrial microorganisms that rapidly grow and threaten Earth, forcing the team into a desperate battle for survival.
