Nexus' dreams take him to an unnamed aquatic world where a giant ziggurat floats above the planet. Nexus puzzles out how to break in without upsetting the planet's sun by drawing heavily on his fusionkasting abilities, and discovers that the place is powered by slave heads. Nexus allows his quarry to tell her story before allowing her to jump to her death. After freeing all the heads, Nexus returns to Ylum. Meanwhile, we discover that Ursula Imada is pregnant with Horatio's child.
