"Plan of Battle," Veronica Lodge, a self-described spoiled rich darling of the jet set, guides the reader step by step through her latest plan to break up a date between Betty and Archie at the beach. "The Believers," Big Ethel tells Betty and Veronica that she dreamed she was kissed by a prince, and claims the dream will come true. "Chaperone Chef," When Veronica hears that Archie is coming over to Betty's house to "study", she convinces Betty's mother that they shouldn't be alone without a chaperone. "Dames at Sea," Boat thieves hijack Betty and Veronica's houseboat and take it to an island hideout, with the girls in hot pursuit thanks to Betty's ability to fix anything with a bobby pin. "Beauty on the Beach," At the beach, Jughead admires the birds, while Archie watches two very special "birds", Betty and Veronica, doing exercises in their skimpy bikinis.
